The Helsinki Digital Humanities Summit is a scientific conference hosted yearly by the Helsinki Center for Digital Humanities (HELDIG) The HELDIG Summit brings together social sciences and humanities in a day that takes a snapshot at the state of the art in digital research. This year, we bring discussion around methodological and infrastructure encounters beyond disciplines. What challenges in data processing new methods enable us to overcome? How to maintain and adapt our research tools to fast-changing technological landscape? How to target the use of AI responsibly in the research cycle?
The Summit will take place at the University of Helsinki (Minerva Tori) on December 4 (we aim for a full-day 10:00-18:00), including a cocktail reception. The Summits are free and open to everyone, whatever their institution, discipline or career stage.
A call for lightning talks and poster proposals is now open. We are gathering contributions around three themes: digital history, digital social sciences and digital heritage and invite you to contribute to this event with a 5 minute flash-talk or poster from a recent or ongoing project. The Summit is a good opportunity to give visibility to latest research and tools, get inspired by methodological innovations in similar fields, and make new connections.
To contribute with the programme fill this form. The deadline for proposals in October 21st.
