Linked Open Data Services

The foreseen impact is to enable publishing Linked Open Metadata using the Linked Data Finland (LDF) platform and its “7-star” linked data model. We currently have an LDF platform hosting datasets of different domains from, e.g., National Archives, Finnish Heritage Agency, Parliament of Finland, Finnish Literature Society, National Library, National Survey, Ministry of Justice, as well as international datasets. We currently support the creation of metadata for statistical analysis of historical parliamentary data from 11 European countries carried out in Pasi Ihalainen’s Academy Professor project (2021–26) entitled “Political Representation: Tensions between Parliament and the People from the Age of Revolutions to the 21st Century”. We need to develop and publish the underlying LDF NLP knowledge extraction tools as web services for named entity linking, automatic keyword annotation, relation and event extraction, topic modelling, and semantic text classification. Also the underlying Parliament of Finland Ontology with its components will be published for re-use.
